Reason for Joining the CAC: Thanks to our predecessors on this committee, the MPCA and the current Flint Hills administration problem issues of the past seem largely resolved. Flint Hills is an important local, regional and national asset but given the nature of its operation, and risks of pollution, having its activities monitored by the public is warranted. This committed serves as a liaison between the public and Flint Hills and helps to ensure things stay on track. I find the issues the committee deals with and learning about the operation of the refinery very interesting. I welcome the opportunity to help keep things on track.
